'The Prince of Egypt' was a grand musical adaptation of the Book of Exodus, featuring a stellar voice cast, including Val Kilmer as Moses and Ralph Fiennes as Rameses. It was a prestigious project aimed at challenging Disney's dominance in the animation market during the Disney Renaissance. However, 'Shrek,' a comedy about an ogre, was initially considered the 'lesser' film.
